Blanket or Fears?

Everybody's got something,

something to get them through the night

so what if mine's not traditional

it's not a bear or a blanket

a person or a nightlight

mine are my fears

they're always there by my side

bear's and blankets eventually get ripped,

worn, lost, outgrown

people leave you when they're needed most

nightlights will one day leave you in the dark

with only shadows by your side

but fears stay the same

the only constant in your life

and when you eventually overcome them,

you can rejoice, instead of mope
